Piezoelectric Keyboard

While taking Cornerstone of Engineering, four classmates and I created a piezoelectric keyboard prototype that generated energy while typing. The box housing the keyboard was designed using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Key presses toggled a row of MiniSense-100 sensors that generated energy. The energy was collected using a diode rectifier then recorded and displayed using an Arduino. We then presented our paper at the American Society for Engineering Education Northeast conference in 2018. If interested, you can read our paper here.
